Beschreibung
Frank and Percy is a witty and moving British comedy about an unexpected relationship that instantly won hearts in London’s West End in 2023 and gained praise for its mix of humour and poignancy. Ben Weatherill’s hit play is now being adapted into a film starring Sir Ian McKellen and Roger Allam.
When two lonely, quick-witted dog owners meet on a park bench, casual chats about the weather and their pets gradually blossom into something far deeper. With warmth, humour and disarming honesty, the friendship between widowed schoolteacher, Frank, and elderly sociology professor and writer, Percy, unfolds into an unexpected late-life romance. Frank and Percy celebrates the beauty of human connection, reminding us to cherish life’s small moments and take chances on love – affirming that it’s never too late for a new beginning.
„Funny, heartfelt, and a truly beautiful piece of theatre.” – Theatre Weekly
„Deeply touching.” – The Times
Recommended for ages 14+
